Tis the season

Things have been crazy lately. December is so hard here with everything that goes on anyway I also have School concerts, Girl Scouts Activities, and THREE birthdays to plan. Having taken care of birthday planning I have moved on to Christmas Festivities. This week I have been working a lot and in my limited free time I was able to do my decorating. I love my tree. It is huge and my Mom and I have spent so much time and effort collecting ornaments, but I think all the work is worth it. Here is the out come....

You can't really tell but the tree is 10 feet tall, so I have to put it up in our entry because it won't fit any where else. I selfishly decorate my tree by myself, so I put one up upstairs that I let the kids decorate themselves. Taylor was great and strung the garlands all around and tried to hang the ornaments all around. Ben on the other hand serious as can be hung ornaments all in the same place, humming "Your a mean one Mr. Grinch". As you can see the side of the tree is ornament concentrated.

I especially like the heart eraser hanging by scotch tape!

Thursday after school we met up with our Girl Scout troop at the Clay County Food Pantry. As a service project we collected food and were able to deliver it and work a bit to fill orders. This was such a wonderfully humbling experience. The Food Pantry which used to fill order every 30 days has now because of excessive need and lack of donations will only fill orders every 60 days. Some of these families can not qualify for Welfare because they "make to much money" and simply cannot afford food, so they are now limited to 1 food pantry order every 60 days.

This is an order........

6 boxes of mac and cheese
3 cans of beans
6 bags of Ramen
1 dessert
2 canned Stew
1 box Cereal
6 cans soup
1 box instant potatos
1 jar peanut butter
4 tea bags
1 small bag rice
1 baggie of sugar
1 bag gravy mix
1 canned meat
1 roll of Toilet Paper
1 bar of soap
2 cans pasta
1 box jello
Can you imagine having to feed your family with this?? This was exceptionally humbling.

How in the world do you accomplish so much in one day??? You REALLY put me to shame!

The tree is beautiful. How fun to have a 10 foot tree! If it weren't for you, I don't know if we would have a Christmas tree or anything to decorate our house with! I will NEVER get over how much you hooked us up!!! You are the best!
