Florida has MANY toll roads and the locals buy a SunPass which gives them the chance to drive right through the toll booths instead of stopping and paying toll. So, every time we got to a toll booth for some reason Dave would always drive to the SunPass line, then we would have to back up, hold up traffic and embarrass ourselves. I was getting so ornery. As we were driving through the Miami toll booth what the crap does Dave do??? Drives through the SunPass, I could not believe it I was screaming at him and because traffic was moving so fast he just drove right through. Well, in order to keep people like us from driving through SunPass and not pay toll they take pictures of cars without SunPass and then send them a 200.00 ticket. So, as we are driving through I am screaming at Dave and CLICK. Can you imagine the picture they got of us. I think who ever was supposed to send us a ticket felt bad for Dave because we never did get a ticket.
The Keys has an endangered Ocean Organism called Turtle Grass. Boaters really have to watch out for it because not only does it cause high sand banks which will cause boats to get stuck, but because it is endangered if one damages it you can get fined. So we rented a boat for a day and were given our map of the Turtle Grass banks. We did good all day. When we were driving back to the island what does Dave do....yup. Full speed into the Turtle Grass! It was awful..for Dave..who had to jump out of the boat and quickly push out of the grass before anybody drove by us. He said it was kind of crunchy. Poor Turtle Grass, I can only hope it will grow back.
Dave really wanted to go deep sea snorkeling. I not so much. But the things you do for love. So, we are dropped of at some famous reef and I am swimming right next to Dave not leaving his side and what swims next to me??? A Barracuda! Right! All I remember was seeing the teeth and screaming.
Heading home we were anxious to get back to the kids. We were having a relaxing drive home playing music trivia and I was looking out the windows thinking I thought we already past this, I thought we already past that. Well we had, 100 miles ago. When we stopped to get gas Dave got on the Freeway going the wrong way and we didn't notice it until we had gone back to Miami, 100 miles the wrong way.
I have included some pictures of the trip for your enjoyment.

This picture is proof that you never ever let a drunk guy at a bar take your picture...what was he aiming at exactly??

Nothing is more romantic then Key West Sunsets

Today I started swimming lessons with Ben. He was so traumatized last year from being thrown in the pool I decided this year I would just work on him myself. I got the best idea ever to get him to go under water. I threw a bright colored fruit snack to the bottom and had him go under water to get it. It worked great. He went after them over and over again and loved that he got to eat it once he got to the side of the pool. We'll see what I can think of for tomorrow.
