My biggest fear is leaving my children behind somewhere. Like being at a park with a group and getting home and realizing I miss counted heads while getting in the van. Or forgetting what time I am supposed to be somewhere to get my child. Well today I have experienced my biggest fear. I forgot Taylor at school. Now, you are probably thinking, she goes to school everyday how could you forget her?? Well, I carpool one week on one week off, except for Thursdays which Taylor's friend goes to Run Walk Club after school, so I have to pickup Taylor. This week was my off week. I have no great excuse...I just forgot. I was home waiting for her to get there. In fact Ben and I had been at Walmart and I was in a hurry to get home to met her, I actually drove right by her school while she was waiting for me.
This has been a bad month for forgetting. I forgot to dress Ben in his color of the week on Wednesday...he wore Blue instead of Orange. And, Dave forgot T-Ball practice, as the Coach this is not a good thing. Also, I have forgotten Show and tell twice now this month. Twice upon arriving to school I had to scramble to find something..on E day luckily I had an Envelop in the car, and on F day I had to run to the store across the street to get some Fruit.
I am very disappointed in myself. I used to be so organized and on the ball. I really have no great answer for what is going on with me, the only thing I can really think of is that after working all but 3 days this month I am just a little over haggard. Things will be slower at work now with Halloween over so I won't be offered as many jobs which will slow my mind down a bit. maybe that that will help.
I feel the worst because Taylor often says to me, "don't forget me at"--so and so place, and I would always reply "honey have I ever forgotten you?" and now Taylor can say YES!

Don't beat yourself up- it's a hard thing to realize we aren't perfect, but you are an AMAZING mother! Look at it this way- if you apologized to Taylor, she learned a great lesson about forgiveness.
Isn't this normal? =)
If not, I'm in trouble!
