Dear Amie...

I am so sad for you right now. I feel your frustration and I wish there was something I could do to help. Reading through your posts makes me think back to the time when we were building our house. I still joke that I am surprised that after building Dave and I are still married. It was one of the most helpless and frustrating times of lives. I know what it feels like to fight for a house for months and months and sometimes not even know if you want to fight for it any more. I know what it feels like to hear companies talk out of both sides of there mouths. I know what it's like to wonder if you are ever going sign those closing docs.
I used to come to the job site and cry and cry. I could not wrap my mind around ever living in the house. It seemed like every day there was a new battle that had to be fought. It got so bad that I didn't want to fall asleep at night because I knew in the morning I would have to start all the drama all over.
I know what it feels like to be desperate.
I know what it feels like to be hopeless.

I also know what it feels like to go from this...
To this...

Amie, I shead so many tears for this house. It seemed like the nightmare would never end, that we would never be done, that we would never close. In fact, on the day of our final inspection the cleaners flooded our tank because they didn't turn on our sump-pump and our entire front yard was under water. We had problems with our docs too. In fact we moved into our house before we were funded because we were so frustrated and just flat out didn't care anymore.
It doesn't seem like it now, but one day you will be able to laugh about all this. You will learn that at the end of the day all of the drama a house will cause is really just small beans. You will close on the house and the loan will be funded. You will move in and the girls will love their new rooms, and the back yard. You will love the kitchen and how close it is to school. Corey will love the yard and maybe build a new deck. And, every time you walk through the front door you will know how worth the fight really was.
I love you.

I feel so special to have a post just dedicated to me!!! =)
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know it will work out somehow, but the question is when??? I definitely have a better understanding of what you guys went through! Yours was a million times worse though because your whole heart and soul was literally put into your house! Hopefully this week it will all be over!

Love you guys!
