My Mom has Cancer.
It is bad.
We hoped all week it wouldn't be as bad as they were saying but, it is. She has been in the hospital since last Saturday when she was rushed from her Doctors office in an Ambulance. If that is not bad enough Dave left for Houston for the week on Monday. I am not going to go into the details of the Cancer on this Blog. If you are interested in what is happening go to beatthiscrap.blogspot.com.
I have hope that this won't kill my Mom but, it is. Sooner then later. Have you ever had to hope that someone you love won't die? I have, once with Ben being in the NICU for 11 days at birth. When I asked the Nurse if he was going to be okay, she said "he is a very sick baby". Then day by day he got better and one day 8 months later we learned he was a miracle and that a 3cm hole in his heart had miraciously closed up. The Cardiologist said he had only seen it twice in his life, and one of those times was my son. Now I am hoping again. I hope my Mom won't die. I love her and am scared of what my life will be like not to have her with me everyday. I am sad that she can't continued to spoil my kids and all of the memories my kids won't have with her. I hope I get another Miracle. I hope I am worthy enough to not to have to lose my Mom.
I do know that at least I don't have to make up for lost time. we have been living together for 6 years. When she moved to Florida we moved in with her to get her settled in the state and it felt so natural that we built a house together and lived happily ever after. But that's just it. I guess I don't get to live happily ever after. I knew my life was too good. Actually, I often wondered what was going to give. I know that sounds awful, but I did, I wondered how I could deserve all that I had.
All I can do now is hope that some how my prayers will be answered and my Mom will survive. Not even for me but for her. She is young, smart, cute and nice. She deserves to have another chance.

Hang in there!
You know we love you guys!!!
Oh Erica,
I just got an email from my parents about your mom asking us to pray for her. I've been out of the blog loop for the last month, but I rushed here to read this. Aunt Sherri and you family are in my prayers. Plaese tell your mom. You have support, even if it's states away. Love you tons!
Erica,
I got the same e-mail as Alisa. I didn't know how to contact you except to follow the link from the very nice words of comfort you left on my blog when I posted about my Dad's cancer last April (and I remembered those words, as they meant a lot to me).
I am so sorry about this. Please tell your mom that we will be praying for her, and for you. We know what you are going through, at least a little bit. We will pray for you all to have strength.

Sounds like you have the support of your long-lost Curtis cousins all praying for your mom! Here's to praying for miracles!
Erica,
I have been following your other blog about Aunt Sheri. I really do have faith in miracles, and hope you guys get one. I love you guys and am praying for you every day.
So, my mom called be today as she sometimes does on Sundays...but today was different...I could hear it in her voice as she asked me "Have you heard from Erica"? And just then my heart fell into my stomach. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and most of all your wonderful mom. If I close my eyes I can see her smiling at me. Your mom is one of the strongest people I know...we will be praying for her.
Sheri, I love you!!
