Taylor had a project due at school this week, and I let her do it all by herself. She is definitely old enough to, smart enough to, crafty enough to, just Momma can't let go of the control. Sooo, this time I vowed to just let it go. Maybe I am growing up, or maybe I am just to lazy, I'm absolutely sure it had nothing to with the time Taylor had to make a 100 day project and I made this darling sand castle with decoupaged sand on it and pennies in piles of ten to look like buried treasure, I even included a treasure chest, a Pirate and a map with X marks the spot.It was cute as can be and so obvious a Kindergartner didn't make it. It was embarrassing when I saw the rest of the projects, obviously made with little hands and not overzealous Mothers.
Anyway, Taylor had to make a Pueblo. She had instructions of what it had to include and I bought all the materials and just let her have a go. Not only did she make it all herself I even let her have the project and materials strewn about the floor for a week (this is a big deal and only people who live with me know how I am about cleaning up at night).
So here is the finished project....

And she got an A!
And with no help from me.
