Team Jaguars.....

Ben's first Basketball game was this morning. It was full of all kinds of surprises. First, you will never guess who was the coach of the team we played. Yep. Nasty Soccer Coach.!! After bad mouthing, uh I mean curiously asking around I have found out that this jerk is the Assistant soccer coach at the High School. I have found out he got thrown out of a Basketball game because he was in the face of the Ref. and I found out this morning he and his wife are two peas in a pod. More on that later.

Dave is always so nervous at the first game. He is worried he didn't coach well enough for the kids to know what to do. He is worried the parents will be upset if their child doesn't do well, etc. etc. He has nothing to worry about. Dave is the sweetest more understand coach and I know the YMCA loves him because I get calls for him to be a coach all the time.

OK, so to the game highlights. The Jaguars were hot. They came out hard and ended with a bang. Each player knew right where they needed to be, passed great and scored even better. One of our little guys even threw the ball from half court, he didn't make it but it was awesome effort.

Here is the Jaguars on defense (white). The blur is Ben. Ben was defending the best player on the other team and he took that very seriously, he was up in his face and giving him the evil stare down, it was great.

The game was so fun. One of our guys could not miss, even hitting nothing but net on one basket. We even had some drama. One of the other teams boys was rough on the court, throwing elbows, pushing, getting in the faces. Us parents were yelling from the stands at the coach's, when that boy threw another elbow on our best player I started screaming at the other coach (the wife of the jerk. jerk was bench coach),and she said "what do you expect their 5", to which I yelled "so are ours". I was so mad I marched down that court and got the Athletic Director to come and witness the madness. Oh, man and she got busted too....he he he. After the game I witness a stern talk to. HA. What Jerks they are. Oh and yes we beat them 14-10, with Ben getting one of the baskets. Maybe that guy should take Dave as an example on how to coach, since we beat him every time.
