Anniversary Trip 2010.......

Dave and I were lucky enough to go to Savannah for our Anniversary weekend. We have never been to Savannah with out our kids so we were excited to do things we have never been able too with our kids in tow.

We stayed at the cutest B&B you ever did see. There are B&B's all over Savannah and I wanted to be sure to get a great one, so I researched and researched and finally decided on The Dresser Palmer House. I could not have been more happy with the place, it was right in the middle of town so we were able to leave our car parked and walk or Pedi-Cab every where and our room had it's own entrance so once we checked in we were left alone until breakfast.

This is the court-yard outside of our room, I mean seriously how cute is that!!
After checking in to our room we headed straight to...

The first of many bars. Dave loves to walk around town, find a bar and stop in for a beer.
Here we are at the famous Six Pence Pub.
One great thing about Savannah is there is no Open Container Law. For those who don't drink, open container is when you can't have alcohol open on the streets. Dave was thrilled to go into a bar, get a beer, then walk around town with said beer. When he ran out we would just walk into the closest bar and retrieve another beer.

And here we are leaving another bar.

After we were good and drunk we went to Leopolds Ice Cream. I dream about Leopolds Coconut Ice Cream. I am not kidding. I dream about it. The Ice Cream at Leopolds is divine.

Ahhhh...Coconut. Yum!

After a little shopping and getting stuck in a rain storm we headed back to the B&B for freshening up and then we were on to dinner. Those who know us well know we love our....
Sushi!!
It was good, not as good as our local place, but I loved our Gay Waiter.

To finish off the night we went on a Ghost Tour of Savannah.
Getting ready to be Spooked!!

Savannah is said to be one of the most haunted places in the United States. I took a ton of pictures because supposedly you cant see things with your bare eyes but look after the pictures have been developed sometimes things will be in them. I went through my pictures on my camera and didn't see anything but, when I got home and put them on the computer I saw a bunch of new things...

At first I thought that stretch of light to the left was interesting but upon further investigation I see a
ghost figure in the far right, middle row window...what do you see?

Orb in the middle of the picture

This is the yard of an Orphanage. Look at all the Orbs.

In this one I didn't see anything until I looked a couple of times. Look in the upstairs window next to the tree branch....that is fully a girl looking out the window. This is a Hotel now and that room is not rented out because it is so haunted no one could sleep in it.

This is the old Prison where if you were taken there you died there. This is the same shot only I stepped back a little for the second one. Why does one have no lights on and one has lights on?? There were no lights on when we were there...hmm.
One of the houses scared me soo bad, the Orphanage, the hair on my arms was standing up. Dave thought the tour was cheesy but I believe in Ghosts so I thought it was cool. I want Dave to tell me how come when we were on the tour we didn't see all these things in the pictures or when we went through our camera the same night we didn't see anything and now something is there??

The next day was woke up to our delicious breakfast then went North to Tybee Island for the afternoon. Our first stop was the Light house.
It was neat but it was scorching inside that thing, I mean 120 degrees! Plus, when you don't exercise and you walk up these...

your legs feel the burn. Good thing for us every 25 steps was a landing with a little window at which I stuck my face in the little opening to try to get some fresh air, or yell for help.
Once we got to the top we quickly walked around to see the view then we got our butts out of there and into the cool air conditioning. At least I can say,

After the Lighthouse trip we went to the beach to grab some lunch.
After our afternoon at Tybee we had reservations for the Movie Tour around Savannah. Savannah is called the Hollywood of the South.  The tour buses were equipped with t.v.'s that played scenes from a bunch of movies that were filmed in Savannah. When we would get to a certain point in the city that was in a movie we would get to see it in the movie and then in real life. I thought this is the funnest thing we did on our trip I was so into it I didn't even take pictures.

We had a great trip and can not wait to go back. We love Savannah.
