I realized when I logged on to update I have no pictures of the 4th of July. My Dad and Brother were in town helping out and visiting with my Mom, I had gone back to work and during that time Dave was so busy at work so it really was a blur.
Fourth of July we BBQ'd Hamburgers and Hot dogs had watermelon and chips and finished dinner off with brownies. After dark we did fireworks in the backyard. Sitting on a blanket with the pool waterfall in the back ground watching the fireworks was wonderful. No heavy crowds, no smelly drunk people, no bad traffic, just a simple day of relaxation and family. It was great.
Monday the 5th was my Mom's 60th birthday. She slept the entire day and tried her best to enjoy her birthday cake and ice cream. The kids bought her some balloons and made huge cards that they hung up on her walls. It was awful and not a happy birthday but at least we had the day, although Faffee would never know.
Tuesday of this week, a friend of my Mom's came over to help out so I could take the kids see Snow White at the Alahambra Dinner Theater with some friends. I love these shows. I love Community Theater and these shows are a great for the family. It was so nice to met up with friends and have an afternoon off from caring for my Mom.
I mentioned a few posts ago that Taylor was going to start playing an instrument. She has decided on Guitar, and last night we went shopping for one. Well, actually we went to get sized for one but once we were in the store we couldn't leave with out one. Between Dave and Taylor I could not get out of that place without sending a small fortune.
Here is the baby..
You can't tell by the picture but it is bright red.
She is going to start lessons in August and I have to say after touring studios and meeting with Teachers she is very excited to get going.
