7 to go....

Today was my first day of Chemo. Here I am with the stuff being pumped into my body. Aside from a slight allergic reaction to the "red devil" and needing Benadril, I felt great.
I had a bone injection the following day which I was told would be the worst, and it was. Wednesday my entire body was achy. The drugs they have for Cancer Patients are wonderful, expensive but wonderful. I never threw up. All week I was extremely tired, barely even able to open my eyes, but Thursday I told myself I was going to go to the kids Run Walk Club at school and by golly I was there. I had my butt on a bench, but I was there. Friday I went back to work. It was hard. It took everything I had to complete the call and then I came straight home and took a two hour nap but then I was ready to go help out at the dance at Taylor's school.
I will be honest the worst part of Chemo is the constipation. Now, let me just explain something. I am very regular. Everyday at 9 AM I poop. Easy as that. I have never had an issue, not even when I was pregnant. So, this is new to me. It consumed me. It was all I could think about. After 5 days of nothing Dave went and got me some major unclogger and a little while later I felt like a new women.

Ohhh yeah....I TOTALLY forgot about that. I had the same problem when I was on treatment. I totally feel your pain. I never had any issues before either and going through that is terrible. Hang in there...it will get better :0) ♥
