I had a doctors appointment this morning with my Oncologist, which was three weeks after my last chemo round. I did my standard blood work and went over all of my test results from the last couple of weeks. My blood was clear and everything looked great. I have been cleared to move into the last part of my treatment which is 33 rounds of Radiation. I love my Radiation Oncologist but I am scared to start radiation because I don't know what to expect.
My radiation will start the last week of March and I have it everyday for 33 days, which will take me into the beginning of May. I have one more PET Scan which will help the doctor plan my treatment and right after the PET I will also have a CT Scan which I guess will give a better view of my former infected area.
This was the first week where I noticed I was feeling better. I was at the grocery store and I wasn't tired walking up and down the aisles. I have since started exercising again and even went back to work. My hair has started to grow in and I am not taking my pain medicine anymore.
