I can not believe how fast summer vacation is going by. With Dave traveling I have been trying to keep the kids busy, so we are doing the kids reading club at the library, going to afternoon movies and mostly having friends over for swim dates.
Ben is not afraid of the waves anymore so we have been having great fun on the boogie boards this year.
On the 12th I turned 34. Earlier in the year I didn't think I would even live to my birthday.
I got flowers, lots of clothes and Sushi for dinner. I am so greatful to have had this birthday, birthdays have a whole new meaning now.
Summer Basketball has also started and Taylor wanted to go to Basketball camp so she spent a week at the High School doing their camp. I hated getting her there by 8:30 (I just think it is wrong to be anywhere before 9 in the summer) but she loved it so that is worth it, I guess.
At camp her team made it to the play-off game and won!!
Look at her defending that big ole' boy.
Here is the team getting their medals
This is Taylors coach and Hannah a girl who is on her basketball team at the Y who was also on her team at camp.
Apparently, Taylor is pretty good at basketball.
Speaking of Basketball Taylor and all her team mates moved up a league and are now the youngest team in the age group. We had our first full court game and the girls had no idea where they were supposed to be for positions and the higher basket was way up there. They lost the game but not so bad, 13 to 8, which I think if good for them but the girls felt really bad and a few of them were crying after the game.
Also, I have been taking a ton of work because I feel so bad about all the time I took off during treatment, it is actually nice to be doing something semi-productive.
