This Basketball season was all over the place. Lets start with Golden Dragons (Ben's team). For moving up a league he did awesome. The basket was higher and the defense was coached as Man on Man and Ben handled it great. Ben got baskets in most of the games, I think there was only one game Ben didn't score and that was because he was not feeling well and sat on the bench most of the game.
Ben's coach said he is a good listener and has a sweet personality. When Coach Joe was giving Ben his award he said that he was trying to make Ben get mad on the court and that Ben would just smile at him. That about sums Ben up, he is our sweet happy boy for sure.
Taylor's team (The Celtics of course) was defiantly in a learning season for sure. The girls lost half their games and won half their games. You all know Taylor is on a really good team so I don't have to mention that, but I do want to say that Taylor had her best season yet. Not only did she make three baskets this season but she also came out of her shell and took shots, she also grew so much with her defense and stole the ball more then I can remember.
Coach Mike mentioned at awards that Taylor had the best play of the season. In the second to last game Taylor stole the ball for a fast break, got to the basket went to shoot, got blocked out, turned her back to the defense girl, shot the ball over her head got the basket and also an elbow to the nose. She got a little jostled by the hit but refused to come out of the game.
Taylor this season was so much fun to watch. I absolutely love watching her get better in basketball and can't wait to see her continue to grow into the sport.
