Day 7.....

New York

Our second day in New York it was freezing, so we got a tour bus which we could get on and off. Anyway, we saw....
Where Good Morning America was filmed

Where Project Runway is filmed, that was a big deal to me

 

the post office, it is huge

 

the first Macy's

 

the Empire State Building

 

that building that is in all sorts of movies, Mr. Poppers Penguins is one

 

Dean & Deluca, the place were Keri Russell worked in Felicity

 

the Brooklyn Bridge, if you can see it

 We got off the bus to go to The Statue of Liberty.

This sculpture was damaged during 9/11 and never fixed. It is about 5 blocks from Ground Zero.

 

 

 

We didn't get to go in, so we ran around the outside.

Then we went to Ellis Island...can you see it behind the trees?

There is Manhattan

Then we walked to Ground Zero only to find out a certain number of people are let in each day, and we were not one of them.

Then we went to Rockefeller Center, again the lines we too long to wait to skate.

The Christmas Tree, it is smaller then I thought.

 

We walked from Rockefeller Center to the Empire State Building.

but I did get pictures, through the crowds.

It was freezing and everything was expensive, but we must go back.
