Well it's been another week....I feel like the summer is slipping away from us. Last week Poppy i.e. My Dad was in town, so he and I and the kids went down to Orlando (got to love Florida Resident discounts) and spent a long weekend at the
NickHotel. We LOVE the
NickHotel, other then cheesy
Nickalodian characters and props they have pools all over the place, and two water parks, and shows and little gimmicks all day long, you know really anything to suck the money from your pockets. Anyway, Taylor was really into getting "
slimed" which is this weird thing they do by the pool twice a day when a huge bucket gets filled with slime then it dumps on the crowd below...it was nasty..but Taylor thought it was really cool. On Friday night my Mom and Dave drove down so on Saturday we went to
Seaworld.
Seaworld was super fun but
SOOO hot. I kept asking myself why on earth, when I only live 2 hours away, would I be at
Seaworld on a Saturday in July... the things we do for our kids. The weekend before my Dad came into town Dave and I were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner. It was a riot. People take that stuff so seriously, and Dave was one of them. I however was not as into the whole
shananagan, I think it was because of the lack of liquor (you know those Mormon parties). Well, Dave was quite the popular guy at this thing and was a major part of the evening so it was fun to watch Dave enjoy himself so much, he made quite the dirty
thumbless pirate.
I have started and almost finished with back to school shopping. Taylor has such grown up taste now. The last two years things could not have enough rainbow and glitter, but now she tries everything on and really considers her choices. When we went shoe shopping Ben was a crack up, he picked the cutest
Nikes and when he tried them on he ran all around the store yelling the shoes made him fast.
Dave got notice today that things are ready to get going in Orlando, so as of August 11
th he will be in Orlando full time for at least 8 months. I am sad, and am not looking forward to it, but we found a nice two bedroom condo so I am planning after I pick up Taylor from school on Fridays just to head to Orlando for the weekend. Dave is
optimistic that he will only be working in the field for 4 days so he will be able to head home
Thursday nights, but I am preparing for the worst (which for me is living without Dave, cheesy I know) and putting it in my mind that we might have to travel some weekends.
Well, we love and miss all our friends and family and hope Amie Corey and their new baby are doing well. Talk back soon.

You are a better woman than me! Hearing the garage door opening and knowing Corey home is sometimes the best part of my day because I know help is on the way with the kids!!!
