Oh boy, oh boy, oh this is one for my favorite weeks of the year. More about that later I have to tell you all about my crazy day yesterday. Dave had to work yesterday morning so with sticking with tradition I took the kids to the Lowes Clinic. I mean how hard could it be right? Ha, well it was a total nightmare! The building project was a football goal, so we arrive and collected our materials, i read the directions and off we went. Well, lets just say I need to stick with I'm good at, and this is not it. Taylor was doing her own and besides using all the short nails and not having enough for the places she really needed them hers was great. Ben's well not so much, not because of Ben but because of Mommy. I couldn't nail in the little nails and so I bent all of them, so instead of the nails going in all the way and the head stopping on the wood I bent them over and then hammered them in, so picture a long nail bent over like an upside-down L, then smashing into the wood until it was flat in the wood. Well, this was working until we had to add the knobs for the score board and because the bent nails were so bulky the score board couldn't turn. So, I had to borrow pliers and pull out all the bent nails and them re-nail them in the best I could. While I was doing this Ben had a sad somber look on his face and says "it's okay Mommy I still like it", even though it had gashes in it from me pulling all the nails out. After Taylor was done and I was trying to redo Ben's, Ben looked up and said "Mommy we are the last one here" and I looked up to see the Lowes people trying to clean up from the clinic. Oh it was a holy mess, it took all the control I could muster to not lose it during this stinken' thing.
Later that evening Dave and I met up with some friends at a neighborhood bar to watch some Gator football. It was insane, those fans are fanatic. The volume in that place was off the charts and the liquor was flowing freely. As the evening went on our group-sans me- got drunker and drunker. Now, this is a situation most of you reading do not often encounter, if ever. So you don't feel left out I will give you a small over view of the evening. Yelling and screaming at the TV... Order beer... Screaming and cheering at Tim Tebow... Order beer... Laughing at the Citadel being pummeled... Order beer... Jumping and running around as Gators win with the final play... Order shots... Break up into teams and start playing darts.... Order Martinis... Continuously call Aaron, Mike, because you are too drunk to remember his name... Order Vodka... Laugh and make fun of Terry because he called Aaron, Mike...Order shots... Forget to take your turn on darts... Order shots... Get into an argument about the Lyrical genius that is Kid Rock, or if your sober and smart about music (me) laugh and make fun of Kid Rock... Order Rum... Put Seether on the jukebox so you don't have to listen to Kid Rock and Nickelback anymore... Order beer...Decide you need to start to sober up so have a beer. Move party to friends house, while on the way pick up pizza because now that you are starting to sober up you realize the only thing you have consummed since 1:30 was alcohol.... Arrive at your friends house..... Drink beer. Try to play Bladerdash in between trying to keep your friends from passing out.... Arrive home horrified at how much you spent on booze. Go to bed.
Sunday marks my ABSOLUTE favorite, extra-curricular activity....SHOPPING. I L O V E Black Friday. Today, Sunday, my mom and I hit the early sales mostly for clothes and scoping the joints out. Later I visited blackads.org to get the ads for my favorite stores so I can map out my Friday morning. This is a delicate process which requires organization and brain smarts. I have my lists prepared and an idea of our route.......bring it on, woo who.
