Happy Thanksgiving to all we know and love. This has been an exceptionally hard year for us so our gratitude for all we have is especially true this Thanksgiving. We miss our families and old friends. We love you all and wish we could play one more card game with Dee, reminisce of old days with Brandon and Amanda and question our salvation with Corey and Amie, and that is just a sample of what we miss so much!! Dave and I know that because of the people in our lives we are able to grow every year. Sometimes we learn hard lessons but, in the end we know who we can count on and love them so much more for that.
I will personally say that I could have never imagined that, that hot boy who peeked his head out the door would have turned into such an wonderful husband. The day I married Dave I was honestly blinded by love but, I knew his soul was good. The man that he has become is one I know other men would like to be. Dave is the perfect example of honesty, loyalty, dependability, hardwork, and love that I want for my children. I am 100% certain that my children will become exceptional adults with a man like Dave as their example.
Dave and I could not be more proud of Taylor. She has grown into such a wonderful sister, and as her school has also recognized a caring person as well. Taylor is so smart and I look forward to where her smarts will take her.
Benjamin is the sweetest soul ever to be given to this earth. He idolizes his sister and cherishes his father. Everyone who meets Ben is taken back with his warmth and Ben will always pass on his smile.
There are no words to express how Thankful I am to live in my life. I know that I am who I am today because of all of the little pieces each of you have given me. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
And, now to turn to a lighter note. I received the newsletter for Ben's school in the mail today and his teacher published a few "interviews" from some of the children and Ben's was included in them, it is as follows...
Ben, age 3, said that his Mom buys the turkey at Target and washes it in a pan and puts ice cream on it. She puts it in the oven for 15 minutes and serves it with hot dogs and juice.
So I guess I will enjoy my turkey and ice cream tomorrow...love you all.
