Tonight was the Paterson School Carnival. It is such a con. First they hype it up to all the kids so they come home and guilt trip you into buying tickets. Then they make you bring in food that you have to
re buy the night of the carnival. Next they have you donate money to make a basket for you to bid on, once again
re buying something you already bought. Most
importantly you have to work a booth, so one has to pass their children off to other parents, and then deal with bratty kids begging for prizes..prizes they don't really need but are
mearly an item you will find in the washing machine after it has been shoved in the pockets and then forgotten.
So here are a few highlights of our night....

Love the Popcorn...so glad the kids don't like
Cotton candy!

Ring Toss
Facepainting...actually I won't let them get the paint on their faces so it is arm painting.

Bowling

And the best is Pony Rides.
Actually all complaining aside it is a great family event and biggest fundraiser for the school. I am a pro now and no longer volunteer to work the food booths and will only let the kids have 20 tickets each which equals a pony ride, a few games and a snack. The kids had a blast and were zonked when they went to bed!

You crack me up. Not too many people can call themselves a pro when figuring out school carnivals! LOL =)
