Dave and I are tired to being fat so we have been getting up at 5:45 every morning and running. Everyday we hope to add more distance but, we have to be home by 7:00 so I can get the kids ready for school. Hopefully we will start to see a difference on the scale with all of this hard work.
This week at school Taylor had to do an Oral Presentation on Maya Angelou. She was given a list of information she had to research and she had to put it together and then tell the class about it. I helped her find some websites where she could read about Maya and then Taylor picked the information she wanted to put in the report. On Tuesday she had to get in front on the class to give the presentation. I asked her how she did and I got the standard "Fine". On Friday I got her grades for the week and she got 150 out of 150. Later in the week we had a very important Girl Scout meeting at which we had to turn in our completed "Journey" Book, we have been working on it as a troop for months and as a reward for the completion each girl got a special necklace and badges to put on their vests. Also, we have finished our cookie sales for the year and we did so well we are going to take the troop to sleepover in SeaWorld, Taylor can hardly wait for that.
With all of the craziness this week after I got home last night Dave suggested we go to dinner, which was such a nice treat. When we finished dinner we decided to take the kids to a hiking trail and walk to Black Creek. It was a beautiful night and just what we needed to slow down and have a mellow night.

Saturday Dave and I took the kids to a Lowes Kids Clinic and as we were leaving there was a little boy standing against the wall all by himself. Ben being concerned walked up to him and asked "Where is your Parent?" It was so cute and all of the parents at the clinic were cracking up. When we were driving home Ben was in such a good mood he was singing in the back seat..that is funny and all but what he was singing was funnier, "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?". Where he heard that song we will never know but it was funny anyway.

"Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"...
"Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"...
Hopefully this week will be a little more mellow because I fill like time is slipping away from me....
