Our weekend....

After our whole Fridge debacle I just wanted a nice mellow weekend. So Friday Ben and I headed to Story time. The Library makes these so cute we just love them. This week was all about bugs and frogs. After the story and puppet show they gave each of the kids their own bug catcher kit and holder then sent them around the Library for a bug hunt, they had bugs and frogs hidden in all of the shelves. All of the kids had so much fun, plus the little kits Ben received were darling, I felt like I should pay them something for how entertained we were.

Found a Frog...

See how good I did....

All the stuff we got, Ben made a little frog with a tongue that blows out....

To continue with our day of bugs when we got home we made Ants on a Log for our snack

Earlier in the week before all of our stresses Dave had asked me out on a date, so Friday night after the kids were ready for bed we went to our favorite Sushi spot. Being one of the freshest Sushi places on the island it was packed so we enjoyed each others company waiting for the only table for two in the quite corner.
After dinner Dave drove to a neighborhood dock on Black Creek, as we were walking down the dock, (which is built all though wet lands), the deeper in the wet lands we got the darker it got, this is what we saw...

Firefly's! Everywhere. Dave could not have made it more romantic if he tried. It was so peaceful to sit at the water with all of the twinkling around us.
Saturday, Dave's cousins came to swim and have dinner around the Bon-fire. We have not had Dave's family over since two Christmas's ago, so if was nice to catch up which we did until 11:00 that night.
Then we all slept till 8:30 Sunday Morning.

That firefly pic is AMAZING!!! Way to go Dave! I would love a night out like that. You need to teach Corey a thing or two ... LOL =) Your library is awesome! What a fun idea for the kids ... and parents too.
