So I scheduled the kids pictures for Sunday (only 6 months late since I usually do them for Christmas presents), and I was showing Ben his new clothes he is going to be wearing he says "I need to get my hair cut" and I said "oh, I was going to let it grow out for the summer so it will be long when school starts" and he said "no, I want it like that fo' hawk I had, remember?" I couldn't believe he had such an opinion and I couldn't say no to his ideas so...
Before....

After...

He thinks he looks pretty awsome, and he loves combing it himself.
Taylor's tumbling class has been so difficult lately because Ben gets so bored and it is hard for me not to fight with him the whole time we are there, so the last couple of classes Ben and I have been walking down to the River while we wait. This has become such a special time for Ben and I. It is so nice to have an hour that we don't have to be anywhere, we just walk down the sidewalk, pet the dogs, enjoy the view and feel the fresh breeze. Yesterday we saw a Bald Eagle, can you believe that!! I ran back to my car to get the camera but of coarse we didn't see it again. This time is some of my favorite time with Ben, it is so fun to see things through his eyes, like a wood railing along the sidewalk he always climbs up in the same spot to watch the "waves" from the river...
Last night was the start of Paterson's Musical. Of coarse, I was there early, you know I can't miss anything that has to do with Mr. Gould. This year was Disney's Aladdin. We all met at the school for the 7:00 showing and as expected it did not disappoint.
The incomparable Mr. Gould...

How cute is Aladdin.....
How cute is Aladdin.....
I have said before, the talent in these shows is amazing. It is hard to remember these are 4th, 5th and 6th graders. One funny thing, when Aladdin and Jasmine were riding the carpet singing A whole new World together Ben whispers in my ear "did they get married?".
Last night while I was watching the Musical I knew that the fight to save Mr. Gould was such a worthy endeavor. The loss would have been immense.

They should have given you flowers at the end of the play for saving the music program! =)
