Tornado Touch Down!!!!!

Tonight while I was making dinner we had a tornado warning.....we ran into our shelter closet. We were under warning for 10 minutes, which feels like forever. Ben was freaking out, and it was extremely scary, but we are all fine. The tornado actually touched down less then one mile from us. We are still under a tornado watch at 11:07pm. We still have power, but have our generator right outside shall we need it. The Black Creek, and St. Johns River (water that surrounds Fleming Island) have crested today. Black Creek's crest is normally 12 feet above top of the water line, today the creek crested at 22 feet above normal. All of the houses along Black Creek have been evacuated and President Bush has made Florida a national disaster. Thank God we are one of the lucky ones who were able to get our power back on rather fast, and have made it through with out any flooding. Today, was a rough day for Ben, he is scared and confused but we are trying our best to keep his spirits up. We are literally holed up in our house and we are all getting a case of cabin fever. It is just not safe to go out with all the branches falling and the roads covered in water. Well, hope we can make it through the night with our power...wish us well.
